17 year-old Melissa Braddock powered her way to her first National medal competing in the 17-18 years 5K Open Water Championships in a very close fought race. After racing for 1 hour and 6 mins only 15 seconds separated the top 4 swimmers.
Mel raced hard to the finish finishing in 1 hour 6 mins and 16 seconds to take a brilliant bronze medal
