Competing at the British Swimming Summer Championships in Sheffield 15 year-old Harley Beentjes swam a fantastic 1500m freestyle finishing in 7th place in a 9 second personal best time. Harley pushed hard throughout the race maintaining an excellent pace throughout, completing the last 50m under 30 seconds finishing in 16:41.02.
Rachel Byrne competing in her final major meet before retiring swam in the 19 and over 400 individual medley finished in an excellent 5th place and 8th in the shorter event.
14 year-old Charlotte Nester had a very busy 2 weeks competing in 4 events at the British Champs and then went straight into the English National Champs and swam a further 6 events. Charlotte took an excellent 11th place both in the 200m Individual Medley and the 100m Breaststroke events.
