Day 2 of the English Summer National Championships, and competing in the 14 year-old girls 200 Breaststroke and her first National Championships Rachel Hornby took the event by storm, dropping her personal best time by 7.43 seconds in the heats to make the final in lane 5. Not satisfied Rachel came back for the finals session and fought hard to reduce her time by a further 1.16 seconds coming home in 2:40.19 and a fantastic silver medal, and the clubs 6th medal of the Championships.
The 16 year-old girls 100m Butterfly saw Jodie Gittins finish in 1:06.00 and take 9th place. Following his fantastic 400m IM yesterday James Cross was back in the pool racing the 1500m Freestyle and finished strong to take 8th place.
