More fantastic performances from Wigan BEST swimmers in Sheffield at the Northern Area Zonal Open Meet. Congratulations to Ellie Molyneux and Mel Braddock in the girls 14 years and under 400m Freestyle both girls made the final, swimming out of age and coming home in National Qualifying Times with Mel finishing in 4:38.16 with Ellie finishing in 4:38.91 both long course pb times.
Rachel Byrne had a great weekend making finals in each of her events with her best result coming in the 200 IM where she came home 4 seconds ahead of the rest of the field taking the gold in 2:22.09. Not to be out done in the mens 200 event Dom. Suggitt fought hard to take the bronze finishing in 2:12.27. Dom went on to make the final in the mens 100m & 200m Backstoke.
