On day 3 of the British Gas National Age Group Championships Melissa Braddock produced the best swim of the week with a 12 second drop in her personal best time in the 12 year girls 800m Freestyle. In a hard fought heat Melissa took the event out hard turning in a pb at the 1/2 way mark, she maintained the pace in the back end of the race finish her heat in first place with a fantastic 9:32.05 taking the over 6th place just missing the English bronze by 0.77 of a second.In the evening Melissa went on to take a superb 10th place in the 200m freestyle in 2:15.67.
Both our girls have produced some excellent swims this week in their first ever National Championships and will have come away with some excellent experience for the future.
